There are so many important pieces to being a business owner, not just as a virtual assistant, but as the owner of any business. One of the practices that I did not instill into my business until I was in business for more than a few years was tracking.
Tracking allows you to know where you stand in business. Tracking helps you to see if you are taking too much time and therefore losing money, or you are converting more leads to clients than you suspect. It helps you to better determine your ROI or the return on your investment. Whether that investment be of your time, your resources or you money.
Avantage Virtual Assistant Academy Graduate, Amanda Long, tells us what she thinks of tracking as learned as a part of her virtual assistant training.
As previously mentioned and as Amanda mentions in the video tracking allows you to see where you are, where you are going, and if you are meeting your goals.
I have always been a big believer in goal setting and having a plan. Tracking allows me to know if I am following through with my plans or not.
In business, you will want to track your:
- time
- social media growth
- list growth
- leads / clients
